01

The Challenge

IISD needed to explain a trade policy issue to a broad audience. Fisheries subsidies sound dry. The story spans two decades of WTO negotiations and a UN Sustainable Development Goal. The video had to connect all of it to emptier oceans and struggling fishing communities.

02

Our Solution

We started with the problem people can picture. Fewer fish, bigger fleets, longer trips. Then we followed the money from taxpayers to industrial fleets. A simple timeline walks through the WTO talks and the UN’s Goal 14. The ocean stays in view from start to finish.
