We’ve taken the time to polish our animation production process over the years. Our well polished video production workflow means your video is on-point, on time, and on budget.

Our Process in 90 Seconds

Our 6 step video production process explained

Over the years, we’ve developed a seamless video production process that’s quite easy to follow. Our collaborative approach involves you at every stage of our production process.

A standard 1-2 minute explainer video requires an average 4-6 weeks to complete. More complex videos may take longer. That being said, we’re always  open to rush projects, depending on availability.

1. Consultation & Discovery

We begin with a discovery call to understand your business, your audience, and project goals. We also review any existing materials you have (website copy, pitch deck, product notes, brand guidelines), plus examples of videos you like. This stage is designed to remove uncertainty early—so the script and visuals are built on a clear direction.

What we cover

  • Objective (sales, onboarding, training, fundraising, awareness)
  • Target viewer and viewing context (website, ads, internal, events)
  • Key message + required points
  • Timeline, stakeholders, review cadence, and constraints

What you get

  • A clear production plan and next steps (and a quote once scope is confirmed)

2. Video Concept + Script

With the direction set, we develop the concept: the storyline angle, structure, and tone.

Then we write a script that communicates your message in a clear and compelling way. If you already have script, we can adapt it—tightening the message and making it animation-ready.

What you get

  • Script draft(s) refined through feedback
  • A final script approved before moving forward

3. Storyboarding

Once the script is approved, we start working on the storyboard visuals.

The storyboard provides a scene by scene overview of how the video will deliver the story. You have the opportunity to review and request edits before we move on to create final designs.

What you get

  • A storyboard with key frames and notes
  • A final storyboard approved before illustration begins

4. Style Frames & Designs

You are presented with the proposed look and feel of the video (style frames) for approval. We then prepare the final assets such as character designs, graphics, images, or live action video clips.

All assets are gathered and prepared for animation as outlined in the storyboard.

What you get

  • Video style frames and final assets
  • Design approval before animation starts

5. Animation

This is where the video comes to life. We animate the scenes with clear timing and emphasis, aligned to the script and storyboard.

If the project includes voiceover, we integrate it during this stage. Music and sound effects are added to support pacing and make the final video feel complete.

What you get

  • An animation draft for review
  • A polished pass after feedback

6. Final Delivery

After final approval, we deliver the completed video in the formats you need—optimized for website use, social platforms, presentations, or internal systems.

You receive a high-quality master file (HD or 4K, depending on scope) plus any additional files required.

What you get

  • Final master + platform-ready versions
  • A deliverable your team can deploy immediately
